Yes, this is an option available to all users. Simply click on the anonymous link before you submit your request.
Caution: Some members may be hesitant to provide quotations if you do not provide adequate information that will allow them to generate a quote.
Will my travel or primary health insurance pay for repatriation services?
Every insurance company is different. Please call the emergency contact numbers on the back of the insurance card or check your policy to verify coverage.
How long does it take to receive a quote?
Repatriation is typically an urgent process. Most providers understand it is in their best interest to respond ASAP. It is possible to have a quotation within minutes, but it is entirely in the control of the repatriation companies.
How will I know when I have received a quote?
You will be sent an e-mail advising you when a quote has been sent. Quotes are instantly posted to your account when received.
What is the role of a "Broker"?
A broker facilitates the buying and selling of services. Most brokers have relationships with networks that pay commissions based on the price of a contract. In past years, the term "Broker" has had a negative connotation. Keep in mind, there are good and bad brokers and many times a good broker can be helpful to less experienced buyers.
When using an Air Ambulance, can we fly with the patient?
There are many factors that an air ambulance operator must consider when taking on additional passengers. Those may be the size of the aircraft, how many medical crew are traveling with the patient, how many people the aircraft is registered to carry, aircraft maximum weight restrictions, how stable the patient is, the company’s policy etc. You should wait to discuss this with the provider. However, if absolutely necessary, indicate your requirement when submitting your request for a quote.
What alternatives do I have to an Air Ambulance?
If the patient has limited mobility but is stable, they may qualify to travel with a medical escort on a commercial airline. We suggest you seek advice from a medical professional, talk to the prospective airline regarding their policies on medical accompaniment and/or assistance and your personal physician in your home state/country.
Can the price change after I get the quote?
This is possible, but should be infrequent. Make sure you read the Terms and Conditions section of the provider’s quote to ensure you understand what is or isn’t included in the price. Price changes usually occur as the result of changes in the information on which the original bid was made. It is real important to be as accurate as possible during the initial request for a quote. However, it can sometimes be out of your control. As an example, the patient’s condition may deteriorate from the time when the initial medical information was provided. Therefore, the provider may need to send additional or a higher level medical specialist to look after the patient. This is an added expense which will be reflected in the price.
When do I pay for Air Ambulance Flights?
Operating an aircraft is very expensive. Unless your insurance or employer has a credit facility with the air ambulance provider you may have to pay for the flight with a credit card, wire transfer or other means of financial guarantee before the flight.
What is a fair price for an Air Ambulance Flight?
In our experience there can be a large disparity between prices for air ambulance flights. eRepat allows you to compare like for like services which may help you determine why one company may be more expensive/cheaper than the other. Some of those factors can be the size of aircraft, proximity of the aircraft to the patient, qualifications of the medical crews (EG doctor versus nurse)
How does the patient get from the hospital to the airport and vice versa?
A ground ambulance will be needed for both legs of the hospital/airport transfer. Those arrangements can be made by the air ambulance provider, the assistance/insurance company or you. However, it is important to discuss this when coordinating with the repatriation provider and determine if it was included in their quote.
What if I do not receive a quote from a provider?
There is no way to guarantee a response from a provider. However, if you do not receive a response within four hours, we suggest re-evaluating the time frame for which you indicated an evacuation was required and submitting a new request for a quote.
What does the Customer Satisfaction rating/comments mean?
We survey every buyer of services after the service has been provided. That survey includes questions concerning overall satisfaction, accuracy of quote and others, all targeted at helping future buyers identify the best providers for their particular need.
What is the Provider Satisfaction Rating comprised of?
Satisfaction ratings are based on responses to a short survey completed by the buyer of repatriation services after they complete a service. Special attention should be paid to the amount of surveys completed to achieve the rating. EG If a provider has a ranking of 4 out of 10 (10 being the best) and this rating is based upon 5 submissions it is most likely not a high enough sample to constitute a fair assessment. If it was based upon 50 submissions it is most likely a fair picture of this provider’s customer experience.
What if we contract with preferred providers or have special pricing?
Professional Membership (Multi-User) provides network management tools that will ensure your preferred providers know your company is the originator of a request.
Can we integrate eRepat.com into our in-house logistics management software?
This can be achieved. There are many different types of operating systems and software that need to be evaluated. Contact us with your questions and we’ll see what we can do to help.
Can other providers see our quote?
No. We ask that you submit your best offer the first time around. Only the buyer can see the quotes submitted by each provider. We do not want to create an online auction environment where price becomes the sole focus of the site. Every individual or company has a unique need. We believe economics will always be a factor in the decision making process. An online auction environment may contribute to artificially lowering the fair market value for air ambulance services. This unrealistic pricing may place pressure on operators to cut corners. When this happens safety can be compromised.
